WATCH: Long Beach from 500 Feet in the Air

As a snowstorm looms over Long Beach and we await the icy roads and hours of shoveling, one YouTube video is reminding us what a sunny beach day looks like.

YouTube user N962SP uploaded this video Thursday of his flight over Long Beach on May 6, 2014.

Soaring 500 feet over Long Beach in a Cessna 172S Skyhawk SP, the video captures an impeccably clear day over the barrier island.

The clip begins at the eastern end of The Boardwalk and follows the shoreline through to the end of Atlantic Beach at Sun and Surf Beach Club. The Manhattan skyline and Staten Island can be clearly seen in the distance.
