Cops Release Photo of Person Wanted in Merrick Identity Theft
Fraudulent transactions happened in January, police said.

Nassau County Police released a surveillance photo Tuesday of a person they say stole a Merrick resident’s identity in January.
Between Jan. 24 and Jan. 26, the person was caught on camera at New York Community Bank in Ridgewood. While inside the bank, they cashed four fraudulent checks totaling $3,725.72, police said.
Detectives are asking anyone with information to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
