Social Media Threat Made Against Beacon HS

The school opened Thursday after a two-hour delay Thursday.

BEACON, NY — A threat made on social media against Beacon High School is under investigation by Beacon police Thursday. Beacon Superintendent Matthew Landahl said the district learned of the threat Wednesday night.

Landahl said police presence was requested at the school for Thursday and Friday, the Poughkeepsie Journal reported.

He would not comment further on investigation into the threat.
