South Nyack Dissolution Update Thursday
The consultants hired by the village will report on progress made thus far and take questions from the community.

SOUTH NYACK, NY — A public meeting about developing the South Nyack Dissolution Plan will be held Thursday on Zoom.
The purpose of the meeting, which starts at 7 p.m., is to keep the community informed about the progress of the plan.

Laberge Group, the consultant hired to assist with the development of the plan, will provide information on the planning process and progress made thus far, then open the meeting to questions and input from community members.
The dissolution process is being overseen by a steering committee composed of village Trustee Michael Hogan, village Trustee Michael Lockett, Orangetown Town Supervisor Teresa Kenny, Town Board Member Denis Troy, and community representative Vicki Schwaid. There are four subcommittees dealing with specific topics:

- Police/Justice Court Subcommittee
- Administration and Finance Subcommittee
- Public Works Subcommittee
- Land Use Planning and Zoning Subcommittee
Laberge Group is also offering "office hours" to answer questions and hear comments. These sessions will be 15-minute, one-on-one Zoom meetings held during the evening March 11 and during the day March 18.
