Pat-Med Teachers Present Workshop at Conference Upstate
Christine Pearsall and Anne Logan attend Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages Conference.

Patchogue-Medford teachers Christine Pearsall and Anne Logan presented at the 44th annual Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages Conference which was held in Albany on Nov. 14.
Their workshop, entitled “Making Learning Visible,” demonstrated how to maximize learning by exposing English Language Learners to multiple visual learning opportunities throughout our schools.
Ms. Pearsall and Ms. Logan shared ideas as to how to convert under-utilized school spaces into mini centers of learning by using technology and print media. Examples from Barton and Medford elementary schools, as well as South Ocean and Oregon middle schools, were featured in a multimedia presentation that aimed at educating their teaching peers using innovative methods to engage English language learners.
