Enjoy a Free Concert in Port Washington
Recognized musicians and local residents will hit the stage on Saturday, May 23.

Local performers and special guest artists are holding an upcoming free concert in Port Washington.
The event, “Don Winston & Friends #2,” will put on a show for the entire community on Saturday, May 23.

- Don Winston- professional engineer and euphonium player
- George Martin- shipyard manager (also “Haven Houseboater”)
- Susan Bendernagel Lopez- leader of local favorite Pilsner Brass Band.
The concert kicks off at 5 p.m. at Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 12 Franklin Ave.
“Don Winston & Friends #2” will perform works by composers Phillip Sparke, Victor Ewald, JC Bach, Bazzini, Sousa and Turrin.

Special guest artists to perform at the concert include:
- Demondrae Thurman- associate professor of music at Samford University, and the preeminent American Euphonium Soloist today
- Derek Fenstermacher- Principal Tuba with the New Jersey Symphony and instructor of Tuba at Bard College and Montclair State University
- Aaron Vanderweele- Instructor of Euphonium at Rutgers University, and former Euphonium Soloist with the Salvation Army New York Staff Band
- Michael S. Milnarik- New England Tuba performer and educator
- Sanae Kanda- Pianist and composer of note
