• 3 rescued after boat sinks off Manursing Island in Westchester (bluewaterhealthyliving.com) — Three people were safely rescued Sunday after their boat sank off Manursing Island, with City of Rye Police and Westchester County marine units responding and transporting them to Playland. All declined medical attention, Sea Tow later recovered the vessel, and investigators are still working to determine what caused the boat to go down in local waters.
   

• Renovated Tower Interior Next Project on Rye Town Park's Wish List (ryerecord.com) — Rye Town Park's long-vacant tower building could finally get new life, as the Town of Rye seeks a $100,000 state grant to plan an interior renovation and future community use. Officials and Friends of Rye Town Park envision a non-commercial community hub for education, wellness, arts, and marine-focused programs, with public input sessions planned if funding is approved by late November.
   

• 2026 lohud Elite 11 girls soccer watch list features more than 100 (lohud.com) — Rye's girls soccer program is coming off an undefeated season and a Class A state title, and several Garnets plus Rye Neck and Rye Country Day standouts headline lohud's 2026 Elite 11 watch list. More than 100 players from Westchester, Rockland, and Putnam are highlighted as potential stars for the upcoming fall season.
