25 Days Of Holiday Volunteering — Day 23: Meals On Wheels

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — 'Tis the season for giving back to your community. There are a number of ways that you and your family can help out through the holidays and help others.

Every day through Christmas, Patch will be highlighting a way you can provide compassion and resources to those in need.

Volunteer New York! makes it easy to find ways to help — through donations, supporting nonprofits and even volunteering from home.

Today's opportunity is for Meals on Wheels of Rockland County, but the twist is that volunteers are needed to deliver wellness meals to homes in Westchester County. The organization needs people to pick up boxes of frozen meals from the Meals on Wheels van at Volunteer New York!'s parking lot and deliver them to homes of individuals living with cancer.
