Cops: 12-Year-Old Boy Struck, Killed by Car Thursday Morning
Seaford man who was at the wheel not suspected of any criminality, police said.

A Seaford man was at the wheel of a car that struck and killed a 12-year-old boy in Valley Stream Thursday, according to Nassau County Police.
Cops said Austin Soldano, 29, was driving a 2003 GMC Yukon at 7:17 a.m. when he struck an unidentified boy. Officers responded to South Franklin Avenue at West Merrick Road and transported the boy to North Shore LIJ hospital, police said.
The boy was pronounced dead at 8:10 a.m.

While police said no criminality is suspected in the accident, Soldano was charged with driving with a suspended license, unlicensed operator, and second- and third-degree aggravated unlicensed.
