Mildred Strang, Somers Middle Ranked Among Best Middle Schools in New York

Niche.com has released its 2016 rankings of public middle schools across the country, and the middle schools in Somers and in Yorktown made the New York list.

Mildred E. Strang Middle School clocked in at No. 54.

Somers Middle School was ranked No. 75.

Last year, 33 lower- and mid-Hudson Valley schools made the list in Niche's 2015 rankings.

A high ranking, according to Niche, indicates that a school “is an exceptional academic institution with a diverse set of high-achieving students and faculty, and the students are very happy with their experiences.”
