Celebrate Founder's Day with us! Our founder, Carl Bornfriend, worked tirelessly to build the museum we all know and love. Even though he's not physically greeting our visitors, he's with us in every exhibit and step of further growth. As an open show of our continued gratitude and appreciation, this day is dedicated to celebrating all his accomplishments. One way we will do this is give everyone the opportunity to visit the Frisco Native American Museum & Natural History Center with only a small donation of a non-perishable food item - NO admission fee. Join us with a day dedicated to the celebration of exploration and learning. Arrangements for free admission are easy. Attendees simply need to bring at least one can of food per person which will be donated to the Hatteras Island Food Pantry. Of course, other non-perishable pantry items are also welcomed. Don't forget about Pets! We will also be giving away seeds from some of our flowers from our pollinator garden! Carl was a horticulturist that loved yellow so we will be including lance leaf coreopsis and black eyed Susans for visitors to plant and share in the joy of the sunshine-yellow blossoms. Seeds will be only as supplies last as they have all been harvested from our own plants.
