• Dare County's Memorial Day 2026 Closures and Schedule Changes (outerbanksvoice.com) — Commercial trash pickup in Rodanthe will add Saturday service from May 30 through Labor Day 2026, giving local businesses an extra collection each week. County offices and facilities will close on Memorial Day, but regular Dare County trash routes—including Rodanthe’s weekday schedule—will run as usual that week. Check online if you’re unsure who handles your specific address.
