5 New Businesses Opening In Newtown In 2017: Coffee Shop, Wine Bar, Pizzeria
An Italian market, coffee shop, wine bar and pizzeria are among the new additions coming to Newtown in 2017.

The business landscape in Newtown is always growing and changing. It will be no different in 2017. Several new businesses are slated to open in the area in 2017, including a new coffee shop, restaurants and an Italian market.
Here are five new local businesses we're looking forward to visiting in 2017:

The Coffee Room will open on State Street, just a few doors down from The Temperance House.
The shop, which will also provide a daily selection of baked goods and light lunch items in addition to coffee, will be located at 15 South State Street. It will seat around 30 people and will offer wifi.

Harvest Seasonal Grill and Wine Bar, which specializes in low-calorie, seasonal food, will open at the Village at Newtown Shopping Center. The restaurant, which has an extensive wine list, will take over the spot formerly occupied by Margiotti & Kroll Pediatrics.
Ok, so this might not be right in Newtown but it's close enough (and tasty enough) to be included on our list. The renowned Trenton pizza joint will open its Lower Makefield location sometime this summer, according to reports. It will be located at Yardley-Langhorne and Edgewood roads. DeLorenzo's has been lauded as one of the best pizzerias in the country.
La Stalla — the popular family-style Italian restaurant in Newtown — is planning to expand its culinary offerings in town with the opening of a new Italian market on Sycamore Street. The market will be located in the standalone building at The Promenade.
Acqua e Farina
A new pizzeria is slated to open on Richboro Road, at the former Minuteman Press building. Acqua e Farina will specialize in brick-oven pizza. The new pizzeria will be operated by Gennaro Palino, whose father runs Vecchia Osetria, according to The Advance.
