Suspected Drugs Seized During Traffic Stop: Newtown Township Crime Report
Police make arrest for roving protection from abuse violation, investigate incidents of fraud and identity theft.
NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — The Newtown Township Police Department reported the following incidents and arrests between March 13 and 18:
March 13
- At approximately 3:15 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop on a suspicious Home Depot box truck at Helen Randle Park. As a result of the investigation, suspected narcotics and drug equipment were discovered and seized as evidence, and the drive was arrested.

- At approximately 10 a.m. a Newtown Township resident contacted police to report fraudulent charges on her debit card. The bank refunded the charges, and a police report was made to document the incident. The resident was advised to monitor her accounts and report any more suspicious activity.
March 17
- At approximately 10 a.m., a Newtown Township resident contacted police to report identity theft. The incident was documented, and the resident was advised to contact her banks, credit card companies, and credit bureaus to further monitor her accounts.
March 18

- At approximately 11:30 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop in the area of Swamp Road and Worthington Mill Road on the driver of a Ford Mustang for committing a roving Protection from Abuse (PFA) violation. The driver had followed the victim’s vehicle from the county courthouse following their PFA court hearing. He was taken into custody without incident, arraigned, and remanded to Bucks County Corrections.
