Vice President Kamala Harris Coming To Bucks Co. Wednesday

In anticipation of the visit, the State Police have issued a travel advisory for expected traffic disruptions in parts of Lower Bucks.

UPPER MAKEFIELD, PA — Democratic presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris will bring her campaign to Bucks County on Wednesday afternoon for an event at Washington Crossing Historic Park.

According to national news reports, the Vice President chose Washington Crossing Historic Park for remarks about patriotism and the U.S. Constitution. She will be joined at the event by about 100 Republicans, who are backing Harris instead of former President Donald Trump for President.

On the campaign trail, Harris has repeatedly said that a second Donald Trump term "would be a huge risk for America and dangerous" to Democracy. "Donald Trump is increasingly unstable and unhinged. And he is out for unchecked power. That's what he's looking for."

The event comes two days after Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump campaigned in nearby Oaks, Montgomery County. Harris, the Democratic nominee for President, and Trump are locked in a tight race for Pennsylvania's 19 electoral votes.

In anticipation of the Vice Presidential visit, the Pennsylvania State Police have issued a travel advisory for anticipated traffic disruptions on Wednesday, Oct. 16 in Lower Makefield and Upper Makefield townships.

State Police are advising the public to anticipate traffic delays and intermittent road closures
throughout the day between 1:30 and 7 p.m. on the following roadways:

  • I-295 Eastbound and Westbound in Lower Makefield Township.
  • River Road in Lower Makefield Township.
  • Taylorsville Road in Lower Makefield and Upper Makefield.
  • General Washington Memorial Boulevard in Upper Makefield.

Police said it is anticipated that these traffic disruptions will cause secondary roads throughout the area to also be impacted.
