• Food Safety Violations Flagged at Four Chester County Facilities (mychesco.com) — Chester County health inspectors recently cited Grace's Cafe on Schuylkill Road in Phoenixville for 15 violations, including improper food temperatures, handwashing lapses, and sanitation issues, prompting on-the-spot corrections and required follow-up. On the same inspection date, the Boardroom Restaurant & Bottle Shop on Bridge Street in Phoenixville was listed fully in compliance, and residents are reminded how to report food safety concerns or illness.
   

• High School Roundup (Oct. 8): Sampaio's late goal at Upper Perkiomen completes Phoenixville's unbeaten PAC run (pottsmerc.com subscription) — Phoenixville High School teams had a busy night, with boys soccer edging Upper Perkiomen 1–0 to complete an unbeaten league run and girls volleyball sweeping Upper Perk on the road. Girls soccer and field hockey fell in tough PAC Frontier matchups, but several Phoenixville athletes posted standout performances that local fans will recognize from the fall schedule.
