See Dad Save Small Son When Roller Coaster's Seat Belt Fails
Uploaded video shows his son slipping out of his seat after restraint unexpectedly breaks off, resulting in moments of sheer terror.

AMARILLO, TX -- An Amarillo man has posted a video showing the moment a seat belt that was supposed to restrain his son during a roller coaster ride broke during a steep dive.
The boy slid out of his seat as a result. Fortunately, the father acted quickly in picking the boy up and holding on to him tightly for the duration of the ride in the Wonderland Park amusement site in Amarillo.
In his Facbeook page, Delbert Latham said he posted the video to warn others of the potential dangers. He also is angered about the incident, especially after he said a park attendant told him similar mishaps have occurred in the past.

“What makes it worse is when I told the guy at the end of the ride he stated that he knew that had happened sometimes!!" Latham wrote on his Facebook page. "Really it’s already happens and you continue to let people ride??!!”
Even after reporting what could have turned into a tragedy were it not for his quick reflexes, Latham said park officials continued to allow people on the roller coaster in question.

Wonderland officials didn't formally respond to Latham's allegations.
The video shows Latham and his son at the beginning of a roller coaster ride, his little boy's expression one of excitement as the ride begins to move. Then: A few seconds of sheer terror for both, the boy's smile replaced with a frightened expression while complaining of pain after falling out of the seat.
