Fight Over Parking Lot Spot In San Antonio Illustrates Unadulterated Rage

"The world is ending," eyewitness to the brawl writes, growing philosophical about the kinds of things for which people choose to fight.

SAN ANTONIO, TX — Some things in life are worth fighting for. But a parking slot?

An eyewitness to a brawl that occurred over the weekend posted video of the incident, which has since been viewed tens of thousands of times. His video snippets were taken outside and HEB parking lot at Loop 1604 and Culebra Road, initially showing a fight between two women that involved hair-pulling and well-placed kicks.

That was just Round One. After a security guard and store employee quell the violence, another fight erupts with a different set of combatants. One man wearing a plaid shirt is seen knocking two other people to the ground in a fracas reportedly sparked by a contested parking spot.

The customer who filmed the ugly episode reported the two groups of parking lot fighters dispersed as the arrival of police was imminent. Some 15 minutes after the fights, a police officer arrived, interrogated the security guard as to what had just transpired and then appears to just leave.

Aghast, Castillo grew in turns philosophical about what he had just witnessed in the concrete jungle to just plain disgusted by the spectacle.

"THE WORLD IS ENDING," he wrote (caps his). "Over a parking spot?? Crazy people in the world today with so much hate. What happened to peace, respect and humanity in society?"

But then he betrayed having derived some sense of entertainment as well: "With all the things I've seen in the last two days, who needs TV?"

But the amateur videographer ended again more thoughtfully, advising others to be aware of parking lot rage: "Be cautious out there in S.A., and live abundantly," he wrote in Spock-like cadence.

No injuries were reported as a result of the brawl, save for the wounded image of a proud city.

The video follows, but be warned: It may be objectionable for some viewers, and is not intended for the faint of heart:
