Why did you start WW?
Jeri-Lynn: I tried many different programs before joining WW on Feb. 6, 2018. This time, I did it for a healthier lifestyle. I've lost 90 pounds!
What's your favorite thing about WW?
Jeri-Lynn: I knew that if I was going to stick with something, I had to be able to eat everyday foods that I'd still want to eat once I met my goal. WW allows me to do just that.
How has your local WW Studio helped in your weight-loss and wellness journey?
Jeri-Lynn: We are very supportive of each other's slips and victories. I would describe my local Studio as open, friendly, welcoming, sharing and caring.
What is something you've learned from WW?
Jeri-Lynn: Just move! What you do is not as important as the fact that you're just moving.
What is something people are surprised to hear about your WW journey?
Jeri-Lynn: That I was successful in losing the weight and didn't get discouraged along the way. I've maintained my goal weight for five months, and I chose to lose an additional 5 pounds after reaching my initial goal.
What is your favorite ZeroPoint food?
ZeroPoint foods form the foundation of a healthy eating pattern and are foods you don’t have to track! Depending on your customized plan, they can include foods such as chicken breast, fat-free Greek yogurt, all vegetables and more.
Jeri-Lynn: I love fruits (especially apples and mangos), veggies (all of them are ZeroPoint foods!) and nonfat Greek Yogurt.
Beyond the weight loss, how has WW affected your lifestyle and approach to wellness?
Jeri-Lynn: I am actually more active. I have never had a desire to run/jog, but now I'm doing a couch-to-5K training. It's tough, but I will not be defeated.
What are your New Year's resolutions?
Jeri-Lynn: I don't make resolutions, I set goals. In 2020, my goal is to keep on moving and being healthy.
What's your advice for someone who wants to lose weight but doesn't know where to start?
Jeri-Lynn: Find your local Studio, come in for a WW Workshop and ask questions! For me, WW is the only way to integrate life, weight loss and everyday foods into a healthy lifestyle.
