Larry David, 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' to Make HBO Return for 9th Season

Fans of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" have a reason to celebrate. HBO announced the show, and Larry David, are coming back for Season 9.

It's time to stop'n'chat. It looks like Larry David is taking a break from his new gig as the nation's official Bernie Sanders impersonator. HBO announced Tuesday that "Curb Your Enthusiasm" is coming back to HBO for a ninth season — with David at the helm.

“We’re thrilled that Larry has decided to do a new season of Curb and can’t wait to see what he has planned,” said Casey Bloys, president of HBO programming, in the announcement.

In "Curb Your Enthusiasm," David plays an over-the-top version of himself who gets involved in an inconceivable number of awkward situations. With 80 episodes to its credit, the show is HBO's longest-running program. David is backed up by series regulars Jeff Garlin, Cheryl Hines, Susie Essman, Richard Lewis and J.B. Smoove. The show has drawn some of the biggest stars as guest actors such as Ricky Gervais, Ben Stiller and the entire "Seinfeld" cast.

When asked why David was bringing the show back, he said, “In the immortal words of Julius Caesar, ‘I left, I did nothing, I returned,” according to the HBO announcement.
