NCAA March Madness College Basketball Brackets Tip Off Early This Year

For the first time, the NCAA is giving viewers a live look-in at the bracket-building before the season is over.

For hardcore fans as well as those who couldn't tell a 3-pointer from a home run, printing out your brackets and attempting the impossible task of picking nearly 70 NCAA Tournament games is a March staple.

And this year you may be able to get a head start on blindly picking games.

The NCAA Division 1 Men's Basketball Selection Committee will allow fans a peek into the process of picking all 68 tourney teams during its NCAA March Madness Bracket Preview on Feb 11 at 12:30 p.m. on CBS.

NCAA Men’s Basketball Chair Mark Hollis will reveal the nation’s top 16 seeds as they stand on Feb. 11 before the entire 68-team field is projected by a team of analysts at the end of the show. The final bracket isn't chosen until March 12 (also on CBS) but this early look gives fans - and teams - an idea of where things stand with just a month left.

“We are excited about giving the fans a glimpse to what the men’s basketball committee is thinking at this point of the season, and creating a buzz as we look towards Selection Sunday,” said Hollis. “It’s important to recognize after this list has been released, there is still a significant portion of the regular season to be played and every league must stage its conference tournament."
