HE MAY BE THE MOST WANTED MAN IN THE WORLD

His name is Anis Amri. He is Tunisian. Germany officials believe that he drove a truck into a crowded holiday market in Berlin, killing 12 and injuring dozens more. He had been the subject of a terror-related probe and was facing deportation. Officials say he is part of a German network of Islamists. (Times of London).

TRUMP ON MUSLIM BAN: YOU KNOW MY PLANS

Donald Trump emerged from his home at Mar-a-Lago, saw reporters, answered a couple of questions and went back inside, leaving reporters just as mystified as when he came out. He was asked if the attack in Berlin had him re-thinking or re-evaluating his plan to ban Muslin immigration. "You know my plans," he said. And while we know what he has said - he has said several different things. So, he answered the question without answering the question. (Washington Post).

EVACUATIONS AT LAX AFTER SUSPICIOUS BAGS ARE FOUND

Three suspicious bags - one at each of three terminals at Los Angeles International Airport led to the airport being evacuated Wednesday morning.The result was delays - most notably on Alaska, American, Delta, and Virgin America. All three bags were cleared. (Patch).



TRUMP ORGANIZATION MOVES TO END CONFLICTS OF INTEREST

Well, probably not all of them but some of them. On Wednesday, the company announced a labor agreement with union at two hotels - the Trump International Hotel Las Vegas and his recently opened hotel in Washington. The deals make it less likely that The National Labor Relations Board - which will report to him - will be asked to moderate a dispute between him and his workers. (New York Times).



UBER PUTS THE BRAKES ON SELF-DRIVING CARS

Even though each of the 26 Uber cars had a person riding along, the company has pulled its 16 self-driving cars from the streets of San Francisco. The city said the cars should have never been registered because they are test cars but had not been identified as such. Uber has a reputation for battling local governments so their decision to back down for now may reflect a significant change. (LA Times).


HEAD OF POLICE DRUG LAB HIT WITH DRUG CHARGES

Annette Box is the head of the police drug lab in Anne Arundel County in Maryland. She also allegedly stole drugs from a drop-off box used by the public to get rid of unwanted medications. Now, she faces charges. (Patch).


COPS OFFER DETAILS IN HUNT FOR SUSPECTED WIFE KILLER

There is a nationwide hunt on for Jeremiah Monell of New Jersey who police believe killed his wife in front of their kids. While the search efforts have been focused on Jersey where the couple lived, it's expanded. Friends of the victim told reporters that she feared for her life. (Patch).



NOT A SURPRISE: PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION STORY OF THE YEAR

Every year since 1936, the Associated Press has asked editors to vote for the story of the year. This year? The presidential election followed by Brexit, Black men killed by police, the Pulse nightclub shooting, and worldwide terror attacks. (Associated Press).


WHAT DO BILL MURRAY AND YOKO ONO HAVE IN COMMON?

They will be two of the many to lend voices to the next animated movie by director Wes Anderson, who directed Fantastic Mr. Fox. The movie, Isle of Dogs, also stars Bryan Cranston, Frances McDormand, Harvey Keitel, and Scarlett Johansson. There is also a raffle in which the winner will get to visit the set and maybe voice a dog. (Deadline Hollywood).

When a gas tanker exploded in August, no one said - Oh, there's going to be a whipped cream shortage just in time for the holidays. And that is exactly what has happened. (The Atlantic).
