Man Impales Self On Chainsaw In Lockport: Fire Dept.

Fire officials said they did not know the man's condition after he was taken to a hospital.

LOCKPORT, IL — A 19-year-old man was injured while he was working with a chainsaw on Thursday, Nov. 8, in Lockport, the fire department said. The man was using a chainsaw to trim trees near a cemetery in the 900 block of State when the chainsaw became impaled in his chest.

Lockport Fire Protection District and Northwest Homer Fire District arrived on the scene, and the man was taken to Silver Cross Hospital, the fire department said. His condition is not known.
