The Beverly Hills Police Department, along with other police departments across the nation, is helping to get essential police gear to Ukraine amid Russia's ongoing invasion. In total, the Beverly Hills Police Department sent 119 ballistic helmets and 92 ballistic vests, according to BHPD Public Information Officer Giovanni Trejo.

Alona Paladi was born in Ukraine and is now living in Massachusetts. When she wanted to see if her new community would rally to support her besieged homeland, friends and neighbors quickly stepped in raising thousands of dollars and filling a moving truck with medical supplies. She's now focusing her efforts on getting art supplies, like crayons and papers, to Ukrainian children.
Grayslake North Cancer Survivor Wins $20,000 Bears Scholarship
A high school senior is getting recognized by one of her favorite sports teams, the Chicago Bears. Fiona Campbell is the recipient of a Chicago Bears scholarship award that goes to young cancer survivors. The scholarship will cover $20,000 of her college tuition costs.
"It just means so much to me just because of how far I have come in my medical journey and being able to go to college and say that I did it," Fiona told Patch.
