The formerly beloved comedian, approaching his trial for felony indecent assault, gave his first interview in years and said racism is at the heart of the charges against him. (Patch).

After hearing about the problems in Detroit, talk show host Ellen Degeneres decided to do something about it — she donated a 40-foot prefab house to help revitalize a neighborhood. (Patch).
South Carolina Teen Died Of Too Much Caffeine
A coroner in South Carolina concluded a teen who died suddenly despite being otherwise healthy died because of too much caffeine. The 16-year-old had had a latte, a Mountain Dew and an energy drink in about one hour, collapsed one hour after that and died one hour later. (Patch).
