Kyle Milliken, a 38-year-old from Falmouth, Maine, was killed Friday in Somalia during an operation against the al-Shabaab terrorist group. Milliken was a senior chief special warfare operator with the Navy SEALs. (Patch).

For the nearly 900 families who lost their homes in the wildfires last November, the bad news is that they are about to receive their last check from the My People Fund set up by Dolly Parton. The good news is that instead of the $1,000 they have received for each of the last five months, this check will be for $5,000. (Patch).

Epic Troll From Wisconsin Man
Speaker of the House Paul Ryan showed up at a Pancake Day Kiwanis Club fundraiser. A man who lives on Twitter as @minnysconsin showed up wearing a T-shirt that strongly implied he's not a fan of Ryan. The picture of the two of them together has gotten a lot of notice. (Patch).
Dozens of Monuments In Danger Of Losing Status
Last month, President Trump directed the secretary of the Interior to examine national monuments designated by his three predecessors. Now we know the 27 monuments being reviewed — 27 monuments that may lose their designation and protection. (Patch).

Stolen Dog That Helped Other Dogs Found Dead
Murfee was a German shepherd who, in his brief three years, helped hundreds of dogs become socialized before they were adopted. Someone stole Murfee. He has since been found dead. (Patch).
