2 VA Travelers Found Dead In Mexico City Airbnb: Reports
Two people from Virginia Beach traveling with a friend for Mexico's Day of the Dead celebration were found dead in their Airbnb.

MEXICO CITY — Three people, including two from Virginia, were found dead in their Mexico City Airbnb last month after traveling there for the country's annual Día de Los Muertos celebration, according to reports.
Jordan Marshall and Kandace Florence, who attended high school together in Virginia Beach, were vacationing with Courtez Hall, Marshall’s friend from New Orleans, WAVY reported. All three were found dead in their short-term rental after Florence's boyfriend lost contact with her on Oct. 30 and called the Airbnb host to conduct a welfare check.
When she last spoke with him, Florence reportedly told her boyfriend she was sick and "something wasn't right," according to WAVY.

"We are closely monitoring local authorities’ investigation into the cause of death. We stand ready to provide all appropriate consular assistance," the department said. It did not confirm the identities of the deceased. "Out of respect for the privacy of the families, we have nothing further to add at this time."
Family members confirmed the victims' identities to WAVY.
“To lose your child is one thing, but in a whole other country and having to maneuver language barriers and travel and trying to get his body home, it’s been a lot,” Marshall’s mother, Jennifer Marshall, told WAVY.
