Liberty Dining celebrates “happiest place on Earth” with theme dinner

As a celebration of classic Disney® films, Liberty University Dining hosted a "Be Our Guest®" themed dinner

As a celebration of classic Disney® films, Liberty University Dining hosted a “Be Our Guest®” Disney-themed dinner at the Food Court at Reber-Thomas on March 7.

Chefs created menus for each station that were inspired by Disney movies, including The Lion King® elk stew; Moana® tilapia and kiwi tacos; Buzz Lightyear® Pizza Planet; The Incredibles® slider burger; Lady & The Tramp® spaghetti and meatballs; Hercules® gyros; Ratatouille® ratatouille; Dumbo® popcorn bar and trail mix station; and themed desserts for Sleeping Beauty®, Alice In Wonderland®, Snow White®, and High School Musical®.

The event featured a “Hidden Mickey” scavenger hunt around the dining hall. The first ten students to find all six hidden Mickeys received exclusive coupons to retail options on campus.

A trivia game was also held during the event during which students could “bring honor to their hall” by showing off their Disney knowledge. The winners received a Disney prize package that included items like a Mickey Mouse beanie, a Pizza Planet cap, a Beauty & The Beast tote, and a tapestry of The Little Mermaid.

“Students were excited for this event, but our staff also had a fun time dressing up like Disney characters,” said Marketing Manager Shelby Burton.
