Pop-Up Foodie Series Success at Liberty University
Sodexo chefs at Liberty University surprise students and faculty with free foodie-focused pop-up stations
Each semester, to enormous success, the Sodexo chefs at Liberty University surprise students and faculty with free foodie-focused pop-up stations featuring trending specialty dishes.
Most recently, Chef Sarah Falls hosted the first Chef Pop-Up of this semester bringing another popular recipe to life.
Over 400 students enjoyed Birria Tacos, a slow-cooked sirloin with guajillo and chipotle peppers, tomatoes, garlic, herbs, and spices all served in a white corn tortilla, then dipped in a marinade and grilled.

“While prep was underway, passing students were so intrigued by the smell of delicious tacos and to discover the food was free, they started forming a line 40 minutes before the event began,” said Marketing Manager Shelby Burton.
Since the Sodexo dining team was prepped and ready to go, the chefs served early to meet demand. The line lasted the entirety of the event.

“Sodexo is here to support our students and faculty,” said Burton. “We want to connect and build relationships, so they know we care, especially when it comes to great food. That’s why these pop-ups are so rewarding and free for all to enjoy.”
Last semester’s Chef Pop-Ups included “Gigi Hadid Spicy Vodka Pasta;” a goat cheese and herb dip with house-made focaccia bread; and a holiday inspired theme.
