Wind Advisory Issued For Northern Virginia

A wind advisory calls for wind gusts up to 50 mph in parts of Virginia.

VIRGINIA — Gusty winds are expected to continue Monday morning after roaring through parts of Virginia Sunday night. As a precaution, people may want to secure Halloween decorations or other loose objects outside.

The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory until midnight as well as from 6 a.m. to noon Monday for parts of Virginia, the District of Columbia, West Virginia and Maryland.

Gusts around 50 mph are expected, with northwest winds from 20 to 30 mph.
