Mom Leaves 10-Year-Old Home Alone, Leaves State: Police
A mother was arrested Wednesday for leaving her 10-year-old daughter home alone for most of the day while the suspect went on an out-of-state trip, leaving the girl alone at a Woodbridge residence, according to Prince William County Police. Delisa Marie Torres, 29, was charged with felony child endangerment and her child is staying with family.
'American Pickers' In DC, Virginia: How To Get On The Show
Collectors with a barn or basement full of clutter are in luck. The History Channel’s documentary series “American Pickers” wants to see and film your treasures in the D.C. area and Virginia in May. Show hosts Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz will dig through barns, storage sheds and houses across D.C., West Virginia and Delaware for hidden gems and vintage items that may have been given up as junk, according to an announcement by the show's producers.

The House of Representatives, by the slimmest of margins, passed a health care bill on Thursday that would repeal and replace major parts of the Affordable Care Act. The final tally was 217-213, but Virginia representatives voted 6-5 for the bill.
