The National Park Service has just announced new dates for the 2017 peak bloom of the cherry blossoms, and not surprisingly, it's been pushed back again. The National Park Service now says that the cherry blossoms will bloom "late next week," which would put it in the March 23-26 time frame.

15 Cast Members Of Hit Show 'The Waltons' Return To Virginia For Reunion
Fifteen former cast members of the popular TV show "The Waltons" will return to Virginia for a reunion weekend to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the show, and to note the one-year anniversary of the death of the show's creator, Earl Hamner Jr., WTOP reports. The reunion — featuring meet and greets, photo-ops, autograph sessions and a church service to honor Hamner — will take place March 24-26 at the Walton's Mountain Museum at 6484 Rockfish River Road in Schuyler.

Credit Card Skimmers Ripped Off Gas Station Customers: Police

Fairfax County police have arrested three Florida men on charges that they used skimming devices, hidden inside pumps at a Bailey's Crossroads gas station, to steal credit card numbers. Police said they began their investigation when they were contacted March 8 by an unidentified local bank that reported credit/debit cards used by several of its customers had been compromised at an unidentified gas station in the 5600 block of Columbia Pike.
