• Family & Farm Day, 2026 (courier-record.com) — A Burkeville resident, Tom Mayfield of White Bird Appaloosa Horse Rescue, was among the featured participants at the 21st Family & Farm Day near Blackstone, drawing nearly 800 visitors. Families explored hands-on agricultural activities, from animal encounters and corn mazes to blacksmithing, archery, and K-9 demonstrations, highlighting regional farming and educational fun for all ages.
