Metro Union Holds Bizarre 'Funeral' On Anniversary Of Deadly Fort Totten Crash
WASHINGTON, DC — In an increasingly nasty battle with WMATA leadership, the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 689 -- which represents Metro workers -- held a mock funeral for the middle-class workforce on the anniversary of the deadly Fort Totten Metro crash that claimed the lives of eight Metro passengers and a train operator.
Sterling Hit-and-Run Driver Is At Large: Police
ASHBURN, VA — Loudoun County police are looking for the motorist who struck a pedestrian Tuesday night on a Sterling street and drove away. Sheriff's deputies responded at about 9:51 p.m. to the scene of the hit-and-run accident, in the vicinity of East Holly Avenue and North Fillmore Avenue, according to a police report.
