Shoplifter Steals Over $300 In Items At Springfield Macy's

Police are trying to identify a man that stole over $300 in items from a Springfield Town Center store.

SPRINGFIELD, VA — A shoplifter stole over $300 in items from a Macy's at Springfield Town Center, Fairfax County Police say. Police are looking for the unknown suspect in the June 9 robbery.

Around 5:40 p.m., the suspect came into the store and and hid clothing in his backpack. Police spotted him outside the mall, but he fled and was not located.

Police released a surveillance image and a description of the unknown suspect. He was described as white, between 25 and 35 years old, about 6 feet 2 inches tall and 195 pounds. He wore a white T-shirt, black pants and orange shoes.
