• Culpeper Police Officers are injured in a structure fire (theriver953.com) — Three Culpeper police officers and one resident were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries after officers helped evacuate a burning two-story structure on Old Fredericksburg Road. Multiple Culpeper fire and rescue crews brought the October 4 blaze under control, but Old Fredericksburg Road and Wolford Street stayed closed to traffic until about 9 p.m. while crews worked the scene.
   

• Culpeper businessman pleads 'no contest' of embezzling from Culpeper County business (pjrnews.com) — A Culpeper business owner who runs Fulton Moto and Fulton Coffee on East Davis Street received a fully suspended six-year jail sentence after pleading no contest to six reduced misdemeanor embezzlement charges in Culpeper County Circuit Court. He must complete supervised probation, community service, and over $14,000 in restitution, a deal his father and stepmother, the victims, opposed.
