Police Release New Details in Saturday Night Shooting
Alexandria man, 34, was shot in abdomen, police said.

Alexandria Police have released more information Monday on the shooting that took place in the 100 block of Ellsworth Street Saturday night in the City.
Just before midnight, at approximately 11:52 p.m., officers responded to a report of a person injured in the 3100 block of Duke Street.
When they arrived, officers located the victim, a 34 year-old male City resident, suffering from an injury to the abdomen, according to police.

He was transported to a local hospital. The victim’s injury was identified as a non-life-threatening gunshot wound at the hospital. Officers determined the crime occurred in the 100 block of Ellsworth Street. The investigation is ongoing.
Police have not released any information or description of a suspect or the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
