Fake Parking Tickets Sent Via Turo Mobile App: Fairfax Police

Fairfax City police are warning the public not to pay parking tickets being sent by the Turo mobile app.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — City of Fairfax Police are warning the public to be aware of fraudulent parking tickets being sent via the Turo mobile app, according to a post on the department's official Facebook page.

The tickets, which include the city seal, direct the recipient to pay a parking citation online. Police said the tickets are fraudulent. In addition, the police department does not process parking payments for parking citations.

Anyone who has received a citation through the Turo app is asked to contact Detective Ryan Foster at Ryan.Foster@fairfaxva.gov or 703-385-7848.
