Free Senior Volunteer Orientation in Fairfax March 22
Find out about the more than 200 volunteer opportunities available to local seniors through RSVP

RSVP Northern Virginia will hold a volunteer orientation at Junior Achievement Finance Park, Thursday, March 22, at 11:30 a.m. The hour-long event is free and open to anyone 55-years-young or better.
RSVP (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program) is the region’s largest volunteer network for people 55 and older and provides individualized support to seniors seeking service opportunities in and around Fairfax County, Arlington County and the City of Alexandria.
RSVP volunteers enjoy flexible schedules, free accident and liability insurance while serving, optional mileage and meal reimbursement and are invited to volunteer group service projects and social gatherings.

RSVP offers its members more than 200 volunteer opportunities, many which are located in the Central Fairfax Area, including providing rides for seniors through the Shepherd’s Center of Fairfax-Burke, supporting financial education efforts at Junior Achievement Finance Park, assisting local veterans in need and helping prepare the community for disasters.
Junior Achievement Finance Park is centrally located at 4099 Pickett Road, Fairfax, Va., adjacent to Frost Middle School. The orientation will be held in the facility’s conference room Free parking is available.

Junior Achievement, a nonprofit partner of RSVP, is dedicated to inspiring and preparing young people to succeed in a global economy. JA needs more volunteers at Finance Park, a building with a mall-like design where each store front represents a different aspect of a family's budget. Volunteers guide students through different phases of the day that simulate real-world budgeting decisions, spending research, and bill payment sharing your own life experiences along the way.
