At 10:26 p.m. on March 3, the victim of the theft reported to police that earlier in the evening, she had inadvertently left her wallet behind at the Greene Turtle restaurant, at 3950 University Drive, the police report said. When she returned to retrieve it, an employee claimed he had already returned it to a person matching her description.
The wallet subsequently was found in the men’s bathroom with cash and a credit card missing, the police report said. After police investigaged, Elhajj was identified as the suspect and a warrant was obtained charging him with credit card theft.
