Sexual Battery Charge Levied In Dunkin Donuts Bathroom Assault Case

A 36-year-old man arrested for assaulting a Dunkin Donuts employee pleaded guilty to sexual battery in 2022, according to court records.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — City of Fairfax Police arrested a suspect they say sexually assaulted a female employee Tuesday at the Dunkin Donuts located at 9550 Fairfax Blvd.

Police responded to the Dunkin Donuts for the report of someone acting disorderly. Investigators determined that a man followed a female employee into the restaurant's bathroom, prevented her from leaving and then assaulted her. The victim was able to free herself and call police.

The officers located the suspect, who they identified as 36-year-old Gamal Osman of no fixed address.

Osman was taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where he was charged with abduction and sexual battery. He remains in custody without bond.

Osman was previously arrested on Oct. 12, 2021 and charged with indecent exposure and misdemeanor sexual battery in connection with with an incident that occured the day before at the Target, located at 6600 Springfield Mall.

In that case, police determined a man approached a woman from behind and exposed himself. The man reportedly made physical contact with her, and the victim responded by pushing back. The man fled the area, and police could not immediately locate the man.

On April 20, 2022, Osman pleaded nolle prosequi to the indecent exposure change and guilty to sexual battery, according to Fairfax County General District Court records. He was fined $265 and was put on supervised probation for 12 months. As of 2:30 p.m. on Friday, the $265 fine was listed as past due.
