Choose your Turkey Trot!!! This Saturday is the Day!
3 Local turkey trots happen this Saturday! Come out and support them along with the Mount Vernon Athletic Club! It's not too late to register!
Are you ready for your local 5K or 1 Miler? 3 local run/walks are this Saturday, Nov. 17. You can still participate - just come early and register!
1. Mount Vernon High School - Register now at: www.RaceDCTiming.com OR between 7 - 8 a.m. at the front door near "the rock"! This is a 5K run/walk all around the neighborhood. Come out and say "Hi!" to the runners dressed in costumed turkey outfits and all the other students and community members! Support the Majors with your registration money - walkers are invited!
2. Waynewood Elementary - 1 Mile Run/walk - 8 a.m start time, so convenient for the families and supporters near by! All are welcome! Please call the school to register 703-704-7100. Many local sponsors support this race and proceeds go to the PE program and the PTA outreach program.

3. Fort Hunt Elementary - Fort Hunt Fox Trot! This 1 mile run/walk is located in Fort Hunt PARK off the GW Parkway. Register at the school by Friday afternoon. Mulitple races are stagnated - depending on your age bracket and whether you have a stroller or pet with you!
