Contributions Rolling in for GOP Challengers to Puller, Surovell
Latest campaign finance reports show Barsa and Frederick raised more than $100,000 each for campaigns last month.

Republican challengers in September out-raised Democratic incumbents in two races important to Fort Hunt residents in the run-up to the Nov. 8 election, according to records released Monday afternoon.
The following is a breakdown of campaign contributions made in September, according to reports from the Virginia Public Access Project:

 44th House District
Del. Scott Surovell, the Democratic incumbent, raised $35,688 in September and reports cash on hand of $59,597.

Republican challenger John Barsa took in $100,934, which includes $75,000 from the Dominion Leadership Trust PAC, Virginia House Speaker Bill Howell's Political Action Committee. His cash on hand is $100,547.
36th Senate District
Sen. Linda “Toddy” Puller, the incumbent Democrat, took in $62,536 between Sept. 1-30. She has $126,301 on hand.
Challenger, Republican Jeff Frederick, a former delegate, took in $106,899 in September and reports $86,886 on hand.
30th Senate District
Adam Ebbin, the winner of the Democratic primary for the 30th Senate District, took in $46,210, with $28,151 on hand.
Ebbin faces Republican Tim McGhee, who took in $2,491 in September and reports $1,577 on hand.
