The community is invited to celebrate the Christmas season with Aldersgate Church on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 12, 13 & 14 for a Journey to Bethlehem. Free continuous guided tours through the "city" of Bethlehem will be offered from 6 - 8 p.m. each evening on the front lawn of Aldersgate, located at 1301 Collingwood Road, Alexandria.
For years, people all over the community have come to celebrate the Christmas story through actors, animals and narration at Aldersgate. Again this year, the "Journey to Bethlehem" program will put the focus on the story and journey leading up to the birth of Christ, and include many characters from the Bible.
The event includes live animals, live music, and free guided tours and refreshments. Aldersgate United Methodist Church is located at 1301 Collingwood Road at the corner of Collingwood and Fort Hunt roads in the Mt. Vernon area of Alexandria.
