On Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at 1 p.m., Hollin Hall Senior Center will host “The Enduring Legacy of the Harlem Renaissance”, a special presentation in honor of Black History Month. The Harlem Renaissance was a major cultural movement in the early twentieth century and though its importance is noted in many textbooks, many people do not know extensively its far-reaching influences. In this short program, we will present art, poetry and music as well as highlight key figures from this period. This is a FREE event and open to all in the community!
