HONEST SOUL YOGA EXPANDS NORTHERN VIRGINIA LOCATION

One-Year Anniversary Event Hosts Community Open House & Ribbon Cutting Dedication

Northern Virginia-based Honest Soul Yoga announced today its successful grand reopening Sunday, October 5, 2014. Neighbors, community leaders and yoga fans participated with an open house and ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate Honest Soul Yoga’s one year anniversary and expanded location at 6470 Landsdowne Centre in Alexandria, VA.

Honest Soul Yoga’s grand reopening featured a community celebration including FREE yoga classes, new class demonstrations, face painting for kids and an indoor market featuring local food and health/wellness vendors.

Conveniently located in Kingstowne near Fort Belvoir, Honest Soul Yoga (HSY) has just completed a substantial 3,600 square foot renovation. After experiencing tremendous growth during the first year of business, studio owner, Suzie Mills said, “Our expansion of a second studio space will be used for yoga classes, workshops and training.”

When people think of yoga, they often associate the practice with women, but today Mills said, “More men are showing up. Yoga is a full-body workout that can build strength, increase flexibility, improve balance and reduce stress.”

Honest Soul Yoga now offers more than 70 yoga classes in the new studio space designed with a bamboo style floor. A variety of yoga classes will be taught for all levels, including the studio’s popular emPower Yoga, emPower+Peace, emPower Fusion, Restorative Bliss Prenatal Yoga, Kids and Family Yoga, Teen/Tween Yoga and many others.

Mills, age 30 is a former IT Professional and Air Force Reservist served in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) decided to follow her passion and pursue a career in the health and wellness industry. Mills said, “The growing popularity of yoga world-wide has been remarkable to watch.” Mills noted “At HSY, we truly believe yoga is for everyone, regardless of flexibility and the more opportunities for people in Northern Virginia to enhance their overall health and wellness, the better,” added Mills.
