UPDATE: Power Restored to Hundreds Monday Night in Fort Hunt, Hybla Valley Area

Area experienced rain, thunderstorms, hail, high winds Monday night.

Hundreds of homes — more than 600 — in the Fort Hunt/Hybla Valley area were without power Monday night likely due to thunderstorms that have rolled through the area.

As of about 3:45 a.m., only 16 homes were without power in Fairfax County.

A Dominion Power map showed earlier in the evening that the largest outage, 496 homes, without power in Fairfax County were at Parkers Lane between Richmond Highway and Fort Hunt Road, near Mount Vernon Hospital.

Another cluster of 137 homes along Fort Hunt Road were without power Monday night. The area is between Sherwood Hall Lane and Collingwood Road.

The outage map estimated power to be restored between 11 p.m. and 4 a.m. Other power outages occurred Monday night in Arlington County where nearly 800 home were without power. Nearly 700 were still without power as of 3:45 a.m.

A NWS Tornado Watch was set to expire at 10 p.m. Monday.
