UPDATE: Malfunction Means No Collingwood Lights 2015

UPDATE: Due to a malfunction, there are no Collingwood lights this year.

After a still undetermined cause most of the controllers used to animate my display are toast. Collingwood Lights will be dark for the near future.

I’m sorry for the inconvenience and disappointment. I can tell you that your disappointment pales compared to mine.

For more than 20 years, Bill Vaughan has been decorating his home for the holidays in his Alexandria neighborhood in the Fort Hunt area.

This year, the lights were up and an admirer had already posted this video (below). The lights twinkle to the tune of “Merry Christmas Baby” by Elvis. In the past, Vaughan has asked viewers to tune their car radio to 88.1 FM to watch the lights dance to the music.
