Lt. Governor Candidates to Speak at Mount Vernon Forum
Forum for Aneesh Chopra, Ralph Northam will take place from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the Hollin Hall Senior Center

Democratic state lieutenant governor candidates Aneesh Chopra and Ralph Northam are scheduled to speak at a Mount Vernon forum from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the Hollin Hall Senior Center, 1500 Shenandoah Road.
The forum is sponsored by the Bucknell-Kirkside Democratic Club, according to a news release. Mount Vernon District Supervisor Gerry Hyland will serve as moderator. State Del. Scott Surovell will introduce Chopra and state Sen. Toddy Puller will introduce Northam.
Chopra was the first chief technology officer for President Barack Obama, and he also served under Govs. Tim Kaine and Mark Warner. Northam is a state senator from Norfolk and a pediatric neurologist.

Chopra and Northam will face off in a Democratic primary June 11 along with two candidates for the Democratic nomination for attorney general.
