Mansion Open As Mount Vernon's Reopening Continues
The estate has opened the first floor of Washington's mansion and is continuing face mask and clear bag policies.

MOUNT VERNON, VA — George Washington's Mount Vernon reopened part of the mansion on Wednesday as part of a phased approach to open features to visitors. Because of the ongoing pandemic, timed tickets are required and capacity is limited in the mansion.
The tour covers the first floor of the mansion. Face coverings are required in the mansion in accordance with the governor's order. Same-day tickets are available at the gate on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets are particularly likely to sell out on weekends.
Other open features include outbuildings, the Slave Memorial and Cemetery, Museum exhibits, historic area and grounds, Pioneer Farm, Photo Cruises on the Potomac, the Shops at Mount Vernon, gardens, Forest Trail, and the Washingtons' Tomb. The Mount Vernon Inn Restaurant is only open for takeout and delivery.
